Berlin Christmas Treats Food Tour
Highlights of the Christmas Treats Tour
What is the Berlin Christmas Treats Tour?
>>During Advent season the historic city centers of every major German city light up with Christmas markets, known as Weihnachtsmärkte. Holiday lights and decorations captivate locals and tourists alike, and entice them to stroll among the vendors of local arts and crafts and also plenty of food! The Christmas market tradition dates back to the 15th century.<<
This tour is a great opportunity for everyone to explore Berlin´ s beautiful Eco Christmas Market at Sophienstraße: "Located at one of the oldest streets in Berlin near Hackesche Höfe, the Christmas market at Sophienstraße focuses on ecological, organic and fair-trade products and foods. On four weekends in Advent, environmental organisations, artists and designers with an ecological outlook sell their products at the Eco Christmas market at Sophienstraße near Hackesche Höfe. The products on offer include hip and trendy designer items and handicraft made in Berlin as well as all kinds of natural, organic and fair trade knickknacks that make great Christmas gifts. Brass ensembles, stilt walkers and a generous Santa Claus add to the Christmassy atmosphere at the Eco market at Sophienstraße."
